Blood tests

Changes to blood testing services

Due to Covid-19, blood testing services across Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge have changed to ensure that the public, patients and our staff can be protected. For up to date service information on blood testing services, use the "Where to go to have a blood test" guide.

If your GP tells you that you need to have a blood test, you must book and appointment in advance – please do not just turn up. This is to ensure that infection control and social distancing guidance can be followed.

For children under 12, blood tests will only be carried out on the advice of a consultant paediatrician – call the paediatrics team at Queen’s Hospital for advice on 01708 435289.

Please check the guide for your nearest centre and follow the guidance on how to make an appointment.
