The Joint Commissioning Committee (JCC) was established by all seven North East London (NEL) CCGs – City and Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest, Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge – to discuss common issues and, in a limited number of areas, take decisions on services that are commissioned once across NEL. The committee will meet 5-6 times a year.
All NEL CCGs and local authorities are represented on the committee. The Chairing arrangements are shared between Dr Anil Mehta, the Chair of Redbridge CCG, Dr Muhammad Naqvi, the Chair of Newham CCG and Dr Mark Rickets, the Chair of City and Hackney CCG. The Vice-Chair is Kash Pandya Lay Member for Barking and Dagenham CCG.
Please note that the meeting on Wednesday 13th January 2021 has been cancelled.
We want the North East London Commissioning Alliance (NELCA) and its Joint Commissioning Committee to be open and transparent about the ways it does business and make sure that local people and groups have the opportunity to ask questions about its work.
At each meeting of the JCC, we have allowed time on the agenda for questions from the public. Members of the public can ask one question on any of the issues on the agenda. A follow up question may be allowed at the Chair’s discretion and if time allows.
Questions to the JCC can be asked at any time, however to allow full responses to be given on the day of the meeting, we ask that any questions are submitted in advance, by 2pm on the Friday before the Wednesday meeting.

We request that questions are asked in person at the meeting, or by a representative. If a reply cannot conveniently be given orally, the time allocated for questions has elapsed or the questioner is not present in the chamber, a written reply will be sent, providing contact information has been provided, within a month of the meeting.
The question, the name of the questioner and the reply given will be included in the JCC minutes and published on the CCGs’ websites.
The usual process for questions applies, the deadline for this meeting will be COP Monday 29 March.

The meeting will consider updates on integrated urgent care, London Ambulance Service, the digital (IT) programme and a presentation from Barts Health on its quality and performance recovery programme.
